solskinn was made throughout 2025 in Alta. as the polar night settled in toward the end of the year, the direction of the album slowly revealed itself. what began as loose sketches became a quiet response to darkness and stillness. not a dramatic darkness, but the kind that surrounds everyday life and subtly changes the way one listens.

the music moves patiently. it avoids obvious climaxes and dramatic shifts, choosing instead to dwell in texture, tone and gradual transformation. built around piano, synths and granular processing, the material is stretched, reversed and reshaped until it feels suspended in time. some elements move backwards, creating a gentle sense of being drawn forward rather than pushed.

the Norwegian titles reflect both place and identity. simple words, grounded in landscape and language. solskinn means sunlight, but the album is less about reaching for the sun and more about being pulled toward it, about trusting that warmth and clarity return in their own time.

each track drifts quietly ahead, like light slowly reappearing from the horizon.
